Duotone complications!!

I have been working my tail end off to achieve a certain tonal range for the younger clients that prefer a more hip and less traditional look. The latest craze has been more dramatic images as seen on http://www.dawnearles.com/ in her newlywed section, or the first picture that comes up.

I don't think I will be able to achieve the complete look of her images, but have made a poor attempt. It's not awful, but it definitely isn't good. LOL I will keep working, obsessing, fanatically and continuously thinking about it until I can almost achieve it!

The positive first, I have found that old style Daguerre type photo replication not as complicated as the duotone below... hence the photo:

Then there is just that average photo with an awesome couple that show intimacy without you having to create it...such as this couple!

Deborah's Boudoir...

With permission of my client, I am sharing her age. She is 50 years old and looks like this~!

Wow! Her story inspires me. Her fiance and her have been best friends for 17 years and one day realized they were best suited for marriage than just friendship. She honored me with the privelage of doing her boudoir shots. Soon I will share her engagements too! I am shutter shaggadelic!

Family First...

I found these vacation pictures of my kids and couldn't help adding them to the blog. These are the most important people in my life, how could I not include them? :-)

Lori and Phillip's Engagement

Wow! What a day this session was. We started in the studio and headed out to the Japanese Gardens for their engagement photos. We enjoyed the innocence and dignity that they brought to the images. Thanks again guys!
